With some hesitation I started talking.

"Good morning, who's that?"

I pretended to not know who was calling. I didn't want to show any slight of interest. The more boring that conversation would get, sooner it would finish.

From the other side of the line, a massive and outgoing voice answered. It was strong and loud. The kind of voice that conveys confidence from the very beginning.

"Good morning, sir! Is this Paul Andersen?"

I mean, it's horrible when our relatives die ... but beautiful when they overcome their attachment to material goods and consider that someone is going to keep living in this mess called Earth, isn't it?! Siiir, I woooouldn't recommend selling that property. It has strong potential, specially due to its location. This not to mention its size. You could easily build a golf site there. But, you know what?! don't do that, siiir!

Before fucking golf sites, excuse me the language, people need homes. The essential always comes first. A good advice to follow in life, business and whatever. Specially during difficult times. Honestly, so far I haven't seen reasons to not make the deal. I mean, I know bunch of guys from the real estate field and they are mentioning nice numbers. But yeah, It is in Bahamas, indeed. But keep going.

No no sir! let me explain that. Markets are oceans. Full of opportunities. And we have to consider who's swimming around us. They always say that where there is blood, SHARKS appear to feast and we all know that the most hungry, aggressive, motherfucker shark out there is Government!
They will start eating your earnings at small chunks of local taxes until they come with the federal bites, specially when they realize you are trying to move your money out of the country..

Specially nowadays, with all those commercial wars, countries shooting percentage numbers against each other, import and export taxes, prices rising, currency devaluations, economies collapsing, people losing homes, jobs and investments. Everything being erode by inflation. A complete mess, sir!
We're pretty much back to the middle age. Danger at every turn. You don't want to be walking around the woods with all your gold packed in the back of the trunk, waiting to bump with fucking Robin Hood and become his source of kindness.

Sir, the best strategy is to keep the property, but increase its value. Develop it, make it more valuable than before. A simple strategy, straight to the point, right?!
